Richland Women's Hoops Return to Court 2 p.m. Tuesday at Home
DALLAS -- Dallas College Richland women's basketball team will resume play to begin the second half of the season 2 p.m. Tuesday in a home game against the University of Arkansas Cossatot.
Tuesday's matinee signals the start of a three-game homestand for the Thunderducks (3-7). The game will air on the Thunderducks Network.
Richland's Paris Beard was the team's leading scorer through the first half of the season at 20.9 points per game. She's also pulling down a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game, and coming up with 2.6 steals, while shooting 63.5 percent. Kierra Allen is averaging 10.5 points, and shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 88.9 percent. Merrick Lewis is good for 8.3 points and 2.5 assists, while knocking down 78.3 percent of her free throws. Logan Ross is averaging 6.8 points per game.
Cossatot (7-9) beat Richland in the first meeting between the two teams this season, 82-63, on Nov. 14 in Arkansas.
Richland will begin Thursday, Jan. 18 at home against No. 12 Dallas College Mountain View.
The Thunderducks are 1-3 at home this season.
