Richland Women's Soccer Kicks Off Aug. 20
DALLAS – Dallas College Richland women's soccer team will open the season against Northeast Texas Community College Aug. 20 at home. It is one of eight home games on the Thunderducks' schedule.
Richland, under fourth-year head coach Stephanie Peel, will also host Jarvis Christian University and Southwestern Christian College in the first week of September. The Thunderducks' first road game is at Randall University Aug. 22. They play at Arlington Baptist University in between the Jarvis Christian and Southwestern Christian home games in that first week of September.
The Thunderducks, who've finished as the Dallas Athletic Conference runner-up for four straight years, will begin conference play with a pair of road games at Dallas College Mountain View Sept. 11 and at Dallas College Cedar Valley Sept. 15. Richland's first DAC home game is Sept. 18 against Dallas College North Lake.
Richland will host nine-time running league regular season champion Dallas College Brookhaven Sept. 25 before finishing the first round of conference action at Dallas College Eastfield Sept. 29.
The second half of DAC play runs from Oct. 1 to Oct. 20 with home games against Mountain View, Cedar Valley and Eastfield during that stretch.
The National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament is set for Oct. 23-28 at the site of the league regular season champion.
