Memon Named DAC co-Libero of Year
DALLAS – Dallas College Richland's Myra Memon was named the Dallas Athletic Conference co-Libero of the Year.
Memon, a sophomore, was also named First Team All-DAC. She ranked third in the country in digs with 604, and was second on the team with 44 aces. She had a career-high 38 digs in a five-set win over Independence Community College.
Freshman setter Luisa Perozo and freshman outside hitter Aliyah Bowman earned Second Team All-DAC honors.
Perozo had 572 assists, 259 digs and a team-best 49 aces. She had a season-high 36 assists against Dallas College North Lake.
Bowman had 61 kills, 216 digs and 15 aces. She put down a season-high eight kills against Lee College. She had 24 digs at Dallas College Mountain View.
Sophomore middle blocker Mia Morrow, freshman outside hitter Ryleigh Martin and freshman outside hitter Aubrey Villa were Honorable Mention All-DAC recipients.
Morrow had 96 kills, 121 digs, 33 blocks and 11 aces.
Martin had 283 kills, 124 digs, 25 blocks and 20 assists.
Villa had 268 kills, 234 digs and 25 blocks.
