Bio

Kelly Covert was named head volleyball coach at Dallas College Richland in May 2025.

Prior to taking over at Richland, Covert coached at Frisco Lone Star High School. She also coached at Little Elm High School. She was the head coach at Lake Worth High School, where she led the Bullfrogs to their first playoff win in 17 years. Her players broke five school records in one season, and became Lake Worth's first to sign collegiately, with student-athletes moving on play at Richland and Dallas College North Lake. She also coached at Brewer and Everman High Schools.

Covert has coached club volleyball at TAV, while leading local clinics and camps across North Texas. She has also served as the Nike Volleyball Camp Director for Frisco.

Covert earned a master's degree in sport and performance psychology with a focus on positive coaching from the University of North Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a minor in health promotion from UNT.

She has a son, Jaxon.
