Richland Hosts North Lake in Key Final DAC Series
DALLAS – Dallas College Richland hosts Dallas College North Lake in a pivotal Dallas Athletic Conference series to end the regular season beginning Wednesday.
Both teams are playing for the second through fourth spots in the conference. The top two in the league earn a first round bye in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament May 13-16 at league champ Dallas College Eastfield. Eastfield meets second place Dallas College Brookhaven in its final series.
The Thunderducks (23-25-1, 15-12 DAC) host Wednesday's 12 p.m. tilt in the DAC Sports Network Game of the Week before the series shifts to North Lake Friday and Saturday. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday, with the nightcap serving as a nonconference game.
Richland lost the first series to North Lake, but hold a one-game lead over the Blazers (24-28, 14-13) entering the week. Brookhaven (23-25, 16-11) sits a game ahead of Richland, but the Thunderducks won both of the two series. North Lake and Brookhaven split their two series, and went 3-3 in head-to-head contests between each other.
